MPP Michael Mantha, Algoma-Manitoulin

Heavenly Father, I want to thank You for the life of MPP Michael Mantha.  Thank You for the love and passion he has for the people in the North.  I pray that You would guide his heart as he makes decisions that will bless his constituents.  Father, I pray that You would grant MPP Mantha wisdom from above and thank You for the way in which You are moving and will move in his life.  I pray that You bless and keep his family and continue to grant him a heart for the people, in Jesus name, amen.

Michael Mantha is currently serving as MPP for Algoma-Manitoulin. He’s the NDP critic for Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation and critic for Northern Development and Mines.

Prior to first being elected in October 2011, Michael worked with federal Member of Parliament Carol Hughes, advocating for constituents on a multitude of issues. He has also worked with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; helping displaced workers access needed social services and training. Michael also served as a Labour Representative for 17 years and spent 4 years with the United Steelworkers Local 1-2693.

Michael lives in Elliot Lake with his wife Pauline and is the father of two boys.
